Designed around existing established trees and to take advantage of a gently sloping site this lightweight house takes the form of two wedge shaped pavilions with a shared elevated deck linking them under the shade of the existing tree canopy.
The angled plan form is also expressed in the roof and ceiling with a folded roof form creating varied spaces in the rooms under.
Variations in colour and texture on the exterior are used to express the irregular plan form and pavilion character of the house. Detailing of fine roof edges gives a lightness to the roof which is accentuated by the angular form of the roof.
