seaforth headland
Inspired by the forms, views and light found when exploring the rocky headlands of Sydney Harbour, this house is an expression of the character of the site on which it is located. Sitting on the ridgeline of Seaforth Headland and with expansive harbor views from the entire house, the plan is fan shaped which creates spaces opening outward to views, crevasses between built forms, contrasting light and shade, compressed and expansive spaces. Externally the form is articulated by materials, form, texture and shadow, emblematic of the character found within the rocky headlands of the locality.
